Perfect running around shoes for my active toddler, fine with or without socks, and they fit her perfectly. I love that she can get them on and off without help and that the liner is nice and cozy/secure. She can be a little hard on shoes and she is extremely active. We have owned silver See Kai Run Mary Janes in three different sizes including these, and I adore how cute they are yet able to hold up extremely well. We've owned Chulis and Plae shoes plus regular old Stride Rites and Target shoes. The Chulis are great for her to get on and off and come in nice fairly gender neutral colors, but do not hold up well. I find myself retiring them before she grows out of them because the lining starts to come out at the heel. The Plae shoes are okay but the mesh on the pair we owned ripped fairly early for my tastes and jesus are they expensive. I also don't like that they are only available usually in extremely bright colors and large sizes, as the smaller sizes and more muted gray/silver colors sell out extremely quickly. Stride Rites are okay but the velcro sometimes becomes useless/less "sticky" after a few weeks of traveling around with my rough and tumble little princess, plus they seem to run very large for my daughter's feet. And I don't like having her wear either Stride Rites or Target shoes without socks because the linings seem to not be breathable and also to be a bit more rough than the linings in the See Kai Run shoes. I think the See Kai Runs are a little pricey for kids shoes (almost as expensive as my own shoes!!) but they hold up extremely well, are available as hand-me-downs to her little sister after she grows out of them (something I can't say for ANY of the other brands we've tried) and are very easy for her to get on and off. I also like the sparkles because they make the shoes a little special but aren't too insanely girly. She calls them her "sparkle shoes!" :) I'll definitely keep buying them in larger sizes for her over the years (and honestly kind of wish they came in my size!).Well made shoes, but we ordered a size 2 for my 6 year old who has a size 2 shoe in everything else, and these were not only too long but too tall for her feet (meaning the top of her feet were not touching the shoe. Tightening the velcro all the way didn't help. Weirdly enough, the width of the shoe was fine and my daughter does not have wide feet.Other than width, the shoe seems made too large all around - almost like it was made to accommodate a toddler's type of chubby feet instead of a true size 2 childs foot, which is much less chubby and padded. I hope that made sense? If not oh well, they still don't fit! Keeping them around for when they do actually fit her, which I hope will be later this year.I’m a fan of See Kai Run shoes, especially for my 3yr old who has been wearing their shoes since she started walking. See Kai Run shoes is a perfect blend of comfort, durability and style for toddlers. When I ordered these silver sparkly Mary Janes, I exepected the same quality, but the toe cover started to lift off the shoe in the first week and then the clothes on the ankle bands wore off quickly as well. Granted, I have a very active toddler which exelerates the rate of wear and tear, but no shoes should fall apart in a week. Regarless, I kept them to take Christmas pictures in since they were adorable.Beware.. This particular style does not run true to size. My daughter measures a little over a 7.5 in See Kai Run so I originally ordered a size 8 in this maryjane. She wears a size 8 (with a healthy amount of growing room in Stride Rite). We were so excited to get these SKRs only to realize they were HUGE (Floppy huge) when they arrived. I thought that maybe it was this particular style so we sent them back and received the size 7 today hoping they would fit, and they were too tight. My daughter's toes were on the edge. I know this is a sizing issue with this particular style since we tried on a friend's SEE Kai Run in another sneaker style in an 8 and they were perfect with a little bit of growing room. The only reason I gave this shoe two stars is because it is so adorable and sparkly. What a bummer :( Not the right shoes for us.I only wish the strap came down farther on the foot, a bit too close to the ankle for new walkers. Good shoe.Great shoes and reliable brand! So, so, so cute! Perfect for my athletic girly, girl. An earlier review noted these ran small so I used their advice and ordered a size up. I am glad I did because my daughter is able to wear them now and has a little room to grow. I ordered a 9 and, for comparison, she is currently wearing a 9 in Puma which runs a size small. With that, as well as her other off-brand shoes in mind, she wears an 8, but is able to comfortably wear this in a 9 with some (but not too much!) room to grow.Have bought great See Kai Run shoes previously with no problems. This pair had a problem with the ankle straps. The angle that they connect at cuts too close to her ankle and the Velcro actually cut her foot within about 10 minutes of the first time she wore them. Unfortunately it was too late to return them.Such cute shoes and are well made. They provide good support to her little feet. Bought a size 4 and they fit her, but socks won't fit... fine with us cause they are just summer run around shoes.
